Happy Anniversary!

Posted by The AAC Staff on March 30, 2010

Today – March 30th – marks the one year anniversary of Apothecary’s Assistants Collective!

From Small Beginnings…

Last year we opened our doors at our first location, on Pacific Coast Highway in Signal Hill, just across the street from Long Beach. It wasn’t a big location but it got us started.

Unfortunately our time there was marred by an on-going harassment from the City of Signal Hill, and we were force to abandon that spot to move to our present location at 1355 Redondo Ave in Long Beach in October.

Since we first opened our doors we’ve been honored to serve hundreds of medical marijuana patients, many who have stayed with us and consider us their home collective. We’re very proud of that.

We’ve met some great people along the way like Chuck Witt – like our first terminal patient and a spokesman for the cause who passed away this last fall… (Video below is from Chuck testifying before the Signal Hill City Council last summer, just a couple of months before he died.)

Thanks To The Crew!

As a volunteer who has watched this process I would really like to thank my fellow volunteers that have made this collective work – Loren and Lauren, Amy, Kevin, Jeannie, Nichole, Joe, Michael, Eric, Brittney, Kate and a host of others (forgive me for any names I didn’t mention.)

The future looks very good for AAC. There are many plans in the works right now for the coming year, and well have more on that soon…

Until later, best of health,
Jon, onehumanbeing
